What does the booking process look like?

02. The Consultation
We always make sure we connect in-person or over a video chat before officially booking a wedding. This initial consultation is to get all your details/vision and make sure we are a great fit for each other.
All communications start with Bryn!
Bryn will set up the initial consultation to go over your wedding details and plans and help you pick the perfect photography package to fit your needs.
03. Booking
After we have had our video chat or in-person meeting, we will send over a proposal + contract that covers what we've discussed. From here, you can review the proposal, invoice and expectations all included in the contract agreement.
A signed contract and 25% down (non-refundable retainer) is required to officially book your wedding and $100 non-refundable retainer fee for portrait sessions.

How far in advance should we book?
In order to ensure availability, inquire as soon as you know a date. We should get your date booked as soon as possible! Weddings generally book up a year to a year and a half in advanced for busy season dates in May-October. Regular portrait sessions should be booked two - three months in advance.
How many images will we receive?
You can expect about 50-75 images per hour of coverage. We know how important these photos are and will be for years to come, so we want to give you all the moments you didn't even know were memories to hold onto.
Where are you located?
We are so excited to have team that gets to be available ALL OVER WISCONSIN! Each of our photographers are located in a different part of the state, which allows Northern Roots to be available where we are needed!
We have traveled to many different states for weddings and portrait sessions. If you're interested in destination wedding photography or a portrait session not located in the Midwest, we can go over those details during a video or in-person consultation.
Do you edit all of the photos you give us?
Yes! Bryn is the editor behind your photos, so you can rest assure that your images will be consistent with what you see! Northern Roots does not deliver RAW or unedited images at any time.
Our turn around time is 8-10 weeks for the final wedding gallery delivery and 21-30 business days for regular portrait sessions. We always send a large sneak peek from your day within 5 business days so you're never left with too much anticipation!
You can expect a small sneak peek gallery from your photography session within 5 business days and a final gallery delivery within 3-4 weeks.
